Absence of My Habu Cardigan being knitted.

habu-it-ual (procrastination – another project in lieu of what I really should be doing)(stainless steel silk, a bit of Sir Walter, and some Toby Moire).
Have you noticed?
I was determined to stick to the project. I had already knit the sleeve twice because I didn’t read the pattern properly, but with 2 sleeves completed it was onto the the left side of the cardigan.
I took it to Sydney on WWKIP day, and knit only it. Train trip up and train trip back. Only it.
Then.
When I thought I was ready to start the cotton section I had another look at it.
And realised that I had cast on the amount of stitches needed for the back. And decreased all along the one side needed for the side.
It got slung into the WIP box. I am too discouraged to bring it out and actually check how small it must be for me even to think it is the left side of the cardigan instead of the back.
I have to do it. I have to complete it.
It is my Tour de France project. See me in the Yellow Jersey trying to tame the b*stard.

[...] It got thrown in the naughty corner. And I pondered what I could do to make it less painful for myself. [...]
You can do it, I know you can!
Grr – don’t you hate that – hugs.
But it will be beautiful and gorgeous and droolworthy when finished.
