Tis done. A follow-up to My Ode to a Clapotis.

1. Noro Clap, 2. Noro, 3. IL’s clap, 4. Noro Clap
Noro Clapotis – my Clapotis Number Three. Two totally different skeins of Noro, and what a great result. I love it. So does Inge-Lise. So it must go home in her suitcase.
I used the “Rule of Fifths” (rav link) system where you weigh your ball/s of wool that you want to use and use 1/5th of the yarn weight for the increase row, 3/5th’s of the yarn for the straight rows, and the final 1/5th for the decrease rows. It’s a little scary towards the end as you feel you might not make it but all in all I had 3 grams left.

I have made a clapotis, all black, and I love it that way the best. Many have made it in pretty colored yarns and they didn’t do much for my taste. But, me darling, your’s is beautiful. That mixture of colors sing in perfect harmony! Thanks for sharing the great info about the rule of fifth’s.
Have a good day.
Pam
It’s so beautiful & I love the colors. This is the 1st time that I have heard of the rule – it sounds like a good one.
i hadn’t heard of that rule either. but it is is a beautiful result!
What a fantastic Clap!
Sounds like you are having a lovely time with the Danishes
Stupendous – thanks for sharing a truly inspiring Clapotis!
Nah, hand eye. I haven’t succumbed to the clap either. Or Noro.
But this one, and its yarn, are beautiful.
Yep. It’s official. I am the only person on the planet who hasn’t made a Clapotis.
I love it! Looks so fantastic and those colours just work so well together!
Smashing!!
That is by far and away the best Clapotis I’ve ever seen.
Oooooh… I have 2 skeins of Silk Garden sock… one of which is trying to become another scarf, but it is going to get ripped to make a Clap with!!!
Thanks for the inspiration… it is a loverly scarf you made!!!
Cheers Eva
No, I didn’t know the Rule Of Fifths either. Your Clapotis is absolutely gorgeous!! What a nailbiting finish though!!!
Tis lovely.
This is beautiful! I hadn’t heard of the rule of 5ths before, but I’ll have to remember it. I’m hoping to knit my own Clapotis this winter… if I can get everything else done! :0)
