Francie and Tallis
Finished my Francie – me likey. I am sure I will make more. I love the way they hug the foot but the kooky cuff is also pretty cool.

Oh. The sole of the sock is amazing too.

I finished them off, and then settled down to watch the video of Atonement – What a Fantastic Film!
A little steamy in parts for the middle of the day – heh heh…. but whilst watching it I started Ellis…and promptly re-named the project Tallis (Keira Knightly’s character is called Cecelia Tallis).
I have some clasps that will finish this project off wonderfully (there is a story in that) and I am using Aurora 8 from my stash.

During last week I also whipped up another Anne Scarf….this time out of nice thick stash yarn – Colinette Skye that I have had for EVA!

I am so pleased when I rummage through that HUGE stash of mine and come out with the right yarns for the right job.
It is, however, a job frought with danger. I witter away to myself, rustle through bags, rips them open, check labels and gauges to see if what I plan will fit.

The mess you see before is a small section of my stash that includes lovely Rare Yarns and some Lang Moon that I have had for ever and am looking for the right project for.
When it all comes together I then have to face the mess I have made and repackage it all back up again. Sigh. It’s tough. But someone has to do it……

I lurve your socks: the colour and the pattern!! I must say they are very foot flattering!! And the Tallis?? Gorgeous and so unusual. (Though down here, TALIS is our Library system!!!)
Ooh may have to add Francie to my sock drawer wish list – great work
me likey Francie three! Gorgeousness on all counts! That Norah Gaughan pattern looks pretty cool too.
I hope my Francies look that good! (Can I come and visit and roll in your stash – pleeeeeze?)
Have a great 2 weeks or so – talk to you when we get back!!
The socks are fantastic! Truly fantastic!
me likey Francey too. Looks great in that yarn…I have some Smooshy that might have to be a Francey!
