It was so lovely to wander through the blogs and podcasts that everyone suggested. My bloglines got many additions but mostly I am so happy to have ‘found’ Confessions of a Pioneer Woman and Water Rant (once a Waitress always a Waitress I say).
I finished up my silver-work course a few weeks ago. Pure indulgence and pleasure of the senses. Barbara’s Studio, nestled up in her lovely backyard at Thirroul put a smile on my face every time I made the trip. Sam, Alison and I had great rapport with Barbara, so conducive to creating beautiful things. As I said. Pure Indulgence.
The main piece I created was inspired by the photo you see in my side bar mentioning Knit Picks. This photo that I had used in the past as an avatar. Something about the photo really captured me. Try as I might I can’t find a copy of it to add to this post – so cast your eyes over and you will see it there anyway.
So the pendant came about. I love the end result.

Freedom. Open to anything that life dishes up.

Awesome!
Oh I love that pendant, so beautiful! I love how you’ve captured textures of the rock as well. Gorgeous photo too btw
I am amazed at your skill. How wanderful to make something that is, well I want to say-just ike a real one!! I’m seeing the ocean and an island in the background!!!
Truly beautiful work, a stunning piece. Im so very glad you found ther course inspiring and fulfilling.
Your pendant is really beautiful – so inspiring! :0)
Gorgeous! it is truly captivating!
I really like your pendant. It was a piece that made me go wow as it scrolled into view. Your use of the textured metals for the rock and land in the distance and ?embossing of some sort? for the sea is just brilliant. And the cut figure overlaid is a wonderful contrast. Very envious of your talent.
