Crochet!
It’s quick!
The results are GREAT!
I am looking at my wayward George with new eyes.
Today after T ball a lazy Sunday yielded 2 wonderful results.

Anne (published pattern) (1.5 balls of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino)

Karen (my own ‘design’) ** (1.8 balls of Cleckheaton Studio Mohair)
And before the rain set in Sir Walter * came to live at YarnCakes. (But not for long).

(Baby Alpaca)
* Sir Walter – it was the particular hue of my garden that caught my imagination.
** Karen owns a local Beauty Salon and asked to do a contra – I reckon this is well worth a facial.

PURTY!
I love crocheted scarves. Lovely!
Ha ha, you’ve gone to the dark side – and you like it don’t you!!
Love the colour of Sir Walter…mix him with burnt butter and you’ve got the perfect Aussie socks!! (or scarf or whatever…)
What gorgeous scarves! I really should brush up on my crochet skills.
I totally understand- I picked up a hook for the second night in a row last night, and the Hubbster gave me the weirdest look and said, “Where’d my knitting wife go?”
I started a scarf with the same motif as Anne, with some Cascade 220, but I think the motifs were to small for me. I’ll try again with bigger yarn, maybe. I do love how quickly crochet goes!
love them both! may have to break out the crochet hooks soon.
“Anne” is absolutely breathtaking!! And, I have to chuckle at the “1.8″ figure for “Karen.” Precise, aren’t we?
