THAT’S a Wrap!
It’s happened. Finally. A project finished that I truly love. That I am totally happy with. That I wouldn’t change one bit of.
Presenting my Soothing Waters Wrap.

It came out 5ft long (153cm) and 13.5inches (34cms) wide.

Light to dark and back to light.

Approx 150gms in weight. Soft to the touch.
And the best Part?

There’s 2 skeins weighing in at 128gm left over. (Already I am planning a bigger version using the left over skeins).
I am thinking about adding some lovely beads to the fringe as I am not really a fringe lover – Ailsa suggested the same thing today at SnB so it’s good to see that two superior minds think alike)….but am in no rush. I know that Marji said it takes ssssssssssssssssooooooooooooooooo long to add the beads.
And the other FO?

A not so special photo of some super cool socks that I LOVE LOVE LOVE. All in all – a good day.

Love that wrap!
Absolutely stunning!

I love that. It looks like it is really drapey too.
Hope I can make to knitting on Tuesday!! I am in urgent need of some out and about knitting
The wrap is very soothing indeed, it does kind of ripple!! But look at those fantastic socks!! I can quite appreciate unmatchy socks now. I am training myself. It is hard, but I can do it!! They are great!! And great minds DO think alike beadwise!!!
Sigh. I learned how to weave this summer and I am saving for a loom (or for Marji to ship me hers, lol). Your wrap is absolutely gorgeous and now I really wish I already had a loom so I could try to copy you.
Beautiful wrap -soothing and very very sea-y – but I also love the socs -what yarn is that!!!
Glorious – just glorious. I love the different colours in the warp (or is it weft?) and the way they create a beautiful fringe. Will the beads take away from this beauty? It’s so perfect as is…
That wrap is so perfect – love how the colours have changed – fabulous!
I also like how the stripes on your socks are opposite (much better than matching!!)
I love that scarf. It’s just beautiful. It reminds me of a ripply ocean wave.
So, you’re on some sort of turquoisey-greenish-bluey kick right now?
It’s BEAUTIFUL.
It came out so pretty, congrats! It was the perfect way to use the yarn. Makes me wish I knew how to weave.
Love it Donni, this project would be great to write about for Issue 4! I love the weaving articles.
It’s just beautiful.
Did you dye that yarn or buy it?
The colours are gorgeous! I can’t wait to get my loom now :p
Gorgeous wrap! I just love the colors – and it really makes me want to learn how to weave. Cute socks too!
