HA! Shan I have about 5 readers, and usually no comments. I don’t care, mostly what I say isn’t very comment worthy, but I’m going to look at yours.

Donyale, I don’t have an alpaca, I had to buy it. Liam is the Shetland who made up the Shetland part, and he can be seen, darn, nowhere. I can’t believe I haven’t posted about the big sweetie. I’ll post about him in a day or two. I hope the kids weren’t too sick to eat the goodies sent for them? That would really stink. Poor things, mine have been sick too, little WIlliam at 9 months is cutting all his teeth at once, and the others have had the flu, so I understand and relate perfectly.

I was hesitant to send the merino, what with the infamous Aussie Merino, but I liked the colors. It was supposed to be like an iris. At any rate, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed your lovely gifts. I am so lucky that I got two active pals, some people got stinky pals.

Being a blog with about five or so readers nets me very few comments; some days none. But I appreciate them all the more because their number is so small. Although I’d like to have higher traffic, and add more voices to the discussion, I never want to be the type of blog that says right under the header ‘I appreciate, but cant reply to every comment’ . ‘Too many’ for me will be when I cant respond to each one, even if its with a simple ‘thank-you’. One nasty comment though, is far too many.

I’m with RoseRed (surprise!) Once there are loads, I don’t bother. And I’m not one of those who tries desperately to be the first to post on the Yarn Harlot either! But good for them, if it makes them happy. LOL.

But yes, it is good to show appreciation. I will just come out and say it – I love getting comments. It’s one part of blogging that drives me on. I love the feedback. Someone out there is listening/reading.

Another interesting post! Re comments – if a post has over 100 comments (or even over 50) I usually don’t bother commenting, unless it is some kind of momentous occasion and I feel like I should acknowledge it – I get enjoyment from reading the blog, I should let the blogger know my appreciation, that sort of thing. On an interesting issue, I figure once they have about 50 or 100 comments, there’s not much new I can add. But I wouldn’t email personally unless it was someone I knew (as, in fact, I did today!). What I find amazing is people who reply to all their comments – not that I’m complaining, it’s just – how do they find the time!!

Hamish looks very lurgified, hope he feels better soon!! I love the look of concentration on Kaela’s face!!! Your swatch is very nice too!! I was chuffed when our Library replied to my email but you scored Eunny Lang!!! I don’t know how to make my blog make people leave an email address, so I potter along in their comments!! That easy – famous last words my friend. Apparently, clicking away isn’t as easy as we think. Or so they tell me.

So, Eunny Jang replied eh? Impressive. Let’s see what happens. By the time I made it over to her blog the comments were at 620 and counting. I just quietly backed away…

PS: Kaela is a little doll. I hope Hamish gets better soon. x
