Who knew that giving away yarn…..

…would be so, um, successful/busy/exciting/wonderful. Good Yarn Karma has been going “gang-busters”.

Every time I push the button to tell someone they have been successful a little smile brushes its way across my mouth. How cool. Free yarn. Love it.

To have a bit of a break I spun up some lush stuff for my Handspun Secret Pal. A big bunch of this…merino, silk, mohair locks I dyed myself…

spun singles plyed with a 2ply 100% wool. I feel like it is a little loosely plied but is so beautifully balanced I can’t complain.

I didn’t show you the Leaf and Tendril sock completed yet.

Here’s a shot of the double knitted cuff – such a cool thing to do.l & t

and a little more detail….

It’s such a wonderful pattern – will have to start the second sock before the dreaded “he that shall not be named” (namely Mr Second Sockitis) settles in to taunt me every time I day dream about starting a new project.

  1. OMG! That is soooo beautiful! I just love the color! Those shades of blue are so lovely! I don’t knit, but I do crochet some, and I make cloth dolls, using “brushed” yarn to make the hair. I unravle the yarn and brush it out until it looks a lot like the second pic on this post. That would make such lovly hair for my fairy dolls!
