The Love Affair with the Postman Continues…..
I got a nice parcel today from My Hero – look at all the lushness inside (it’s a down payment on the Clap-o-tee)….
Nestled amongst the pile of knitpicks yarn (so I can do some more dyeing) was a Vogue Knitting that I missed (we are going to do a swap for the Yarn Magazine), some Kool-Aid, a Nice Knitpicks pattern that I had my eye on and The One Skein Book that I coveted. How cool of that Rox!
Yay! It’s a nice read, in reflection, but a tad misleading as you assume the book is chock-a-block full of "One Skein" Patterns, and it is to a point, but there are several patterns using One Skein of One Colour and One Skein of another Colour etc etc.
There are, as always, some nice patterns that I think I will whip up. There are, of course, the obligatory "shockers" that definitely won’t see light of day at my humble abode. 
Here is one example…..and I quote
"POM POM BOA – I feel adventurous when I wrap this boa around my neck. I want to set aside all things serious, get out, and have some fun"
Hmmm, methinks a nice bottle or two of merlot and a babysitter would help that more than wearing a bunch of pom poms aound my neck but maybe that’s just me.

To change back to the main theme….. what does the postman look like…….? Brad Pitt (Troy), George Clunie (Ocean’s Eleven), Arnie (I’ll be back), Clint Eastwood (Make My Day) or……….?

So much knitpicks ot dye up! We really must start mailing them to say DUDES! Send to Australia alright! We don’t care about the length of time it takes for your yarn to get here…. (This millenium would be good though)

I’m not usually a VK fan but I did have to go buy that one- I love the kitty hat and also that raglan style arany sweater that’s in the middle somewhere. I can’t wait til I have time to play with that hat, sounds like a very interesting technique.
I’ll take Merlot over pom poms any day!
